What we collect
When you apply to sell, we collect the business name, contact name, WhatsApp number, category, area and any social/store link you provide. A help enquiry contains your name, contact details and message. Do not submit identity documents, passwords, payment credentials or sensitive personal information through these forms.
Why we use it
We use these details to assess your application, contact you about onboarding and respond to enquiries. An application does not automatically create a public store. We do not sell application information or publish your contact details as part of the application process.
Storage and access
Website records are stored using private Vercel storage. Authorised Barwio administrators can review submissions. Access to stored submissions is limited through the Barwio Vercel account. Infrastructure providers may process technical request information to host and secure the website, including outside Somalia.
Retention
Unsuccessful or inactive applications and closed enquiries are intended to be removed within 90 days unless an active relationship or applicable obligation requires longer retention. Approved sellers receive separate onboarding information before additional records are collected.
Your choices
You can request access, correction or deletion, or withdraw permission to be contacted, through Help & contact. Include your submission reference where available. We may need to confirm your identity before responding. Withdrawal does not undo earlier processing.
Cookies and browsing
The public website does not use advertising trackers. Essential authentication cookies apply when administrators sign in. Device-local preferences may be used for user interface settings; they are not a substitute for your order record.
Before shopping opens
We will publish the applicable customer, seller and transaction privacy information before live marketplace ordering begins.
